Women love what they hear and that’s why men lie to them with sweet nothings as they woo them and give their goosebumps goosebumps and butterflies butterflies. This act feels and sound romantic but the flip risk neglected is that as he woos you. Young lady don’t let his poetry and words cloud your judgement and understanding.
Don’t let them distract you from asking the questions that really matter! Am not talking about What is your favourite dish or colour. No by all means.
I mean how do you deal with stress, anger, pressure, financial constraints, failure? – there will be days he will be under pressure will you be the punching bag to release the stress or will he run to porn to release some dopamine and get over the feeling momentarily. You need to know the stress management tactic he uses
What’s your relationship with your family extended, friends, workmates, mentors ?- WE are communal creatures and need eachother. Its important to establish if he has a support system nand isn’t a cave man because cave men usually if not many times make the gross mistake of thinking they are self made and refrain or disdain feedback
Do you account your dealings to someone? – As men grow their vision has a way of taking control of them and they start to forget what truly matters.you need to know the people in his life that can speak without him opposing and listen to because there will be a day you will need them when he isn’t listening to you
How did your childhood affect your growth a man ? – It will give you a vantage point of why he does the things he does , his beliefs system, his mantras and the scars he is afraid to show people.
Do you have traumas, if yes how are you dealing with them? – I don’t know how this can be emphasised its very annoying to be in a situation where a party is emotionally unavailable because of past traumas
Serious questions because failure will cost you future years of counselling. Just because he looks like he lifts weights for breakfast lunch and dinner isn’t a ticket to court him.
